I've read many great WOTF anthologies over the years and I'm pleased to report Volume 36 delivers yet again. This story was more sci-fi than fantasy and. Returning the assigned illustration quickly does not directly correlate to winning the Gold Award, but those artists who do so are allowed the opportunity to illustrate additional stories. Edited by Dave Wolverton and featuring wonderful illustrations by the winners of the illustration area, it's an incredibly fine volume of short stories, illos, and advice. The series really gives the opportunity for new and emerging writers to showcase their work in an international competition and one day I hope to be published in this anthology.
